Baldness is not a pretty thing and many people suffer needlessly when there are natural ways to arrest alopecia areata (hair loss) with essential oils. Alopecia is an inflammatory hair-loss disease that is the second-leading cause of baldness in the United States.
Recently one of my students did her research on a ten year old boy who had alopecia areata. With permission of the boy and his mother, she supplied him with therapeutic quality cedarwood essential oil. Taking pictures before and after a three month study she showed how this child who had large patches of missing hair had completely re-grown his hair simply by rubbing cedarwood oil onto his scalp every night before going to bed, then washing his head in the morning. He wasn’t asked to do any additional steps-just the cedarwood oil.-no affirmations, no meditation or relaxation exercises, no creams or gels-just cedarwood oil. The results were absolutely dramatic as shown by the pictures.
This little boy had suffered emotionally at the hands of his peers who made fun of him because of the horrible white patches on his scalp. He had gone to wearing a toboggan on his head in July because of his embarrassment. This experiment gave this child back his life-now I call that healing.
What Else Can Cedarwood Essential Oil Do for You?
Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica) was probably the first ever oil to be steam distilled several thousand years ago. The ancients used it as the primary ingredient in embalming. It is an excellent insect repellant-especially for mosquitoes and fleas. Cedarwood can affect the respiratory system, skin as well as infectious problems like gonorrhea or cystitis. It is an anti-inflammatory making it helpful for many problems like -improving circulation and joint mobility in arthritis and rheumatism. It can help the nervous system and it can enhance deep sleep and assist in emotional releases. Because of its chemistry cedarwood can stimulate the limbic system of the brain where the emotions are housed and stimulate the pineal gland which releases melatonin.
